Happily Ever After...

Our day at the castle was HOT, HUMID and yet filled with AAALLL the magic of Dizzmee. The girls had a blast, loved wearing their dresses all day and got to ride all the rides they wanted to. I had all the employees asking me where I purchased their Belle dresses. Imagine their surprise when I told them I paid $15 plus shipping!! The dresses in the Dizzmee store are $60 and up so I think we did pretty well :) The girls were even awarded a certificate for the most royal princesses of the day. Too cute! Just in case you're wondering if I actually was there, I thought I'd ease your mind-Greg always fusses at me for never posting pictures of myself! I asked Aria who her favorite princess was, expecting her to say Belle. "Cinderell@ because I am wearing Cinderell@ panties today." Gianna squeals, " I am wearing Tinker/Bell panties, so she is MY favorite." Who knew the rise and fall of "most favored princess" status was as easy as an underwear change! We ...

Today we had another low key day around the condo. We went back to Downtown Dizzmee again this afternoon to walk around when the crowds were lighter. The girls wanted to wear their Cinderella dresses so it was fun for them to twirl and dance around. Royal kisses from his princesses. May they find a handsome prince just like their Daddy some day! I think we are improving on those curtseys. They picked Aurora since they didn't want Cinderella to feel bad that their dresses were prettier ;-) This one is for Papa- Princesses on a Harley! People and Puppies made from Legos.. Pretty cool! Tomorrow is our one and only day at the park. We were hoping to go a marathon open to close, but Aria's asthma is acting up, so we will probably have to return mid-day for a nebulizer treatment and a nap and then return for fireworks.

Mr. Potato Head sends his greetings to all our water logged friends in GA! "Can I have this Minnie Mommy? She's as tall as me!!" Not to be outdone by her little sister, Aria found one in her size too. We successfully talked them out of the life size Minnies and decided on princess crowns for our princesses. Aria prefers to wear hers with the cardboard still on. Getting their curtseys down perfectly. We spent a low key first day hanging around the condo, exercising in heat and humidity, and then after dinner we went to downtown Dizzmee (as Gianna calls it) for an ice cream cone and a little window shopping. All, and all a fun relaxing and germ free first day!!

We are ramping up for Gianna's next surgery, and at our house that means NO! No  grocery stores No school No play group No church No ballet No friends over Nada, nothin, zilch. We ARE however going to see the Mouse for a day, and then stay at the ocean for a week. I know that it contradicts the NO list, but we will be mostly alone at the beach, and we plan to keep Gianna gloved and masked at Disney. We planned this months ago before we had any surgery date, so since it's already paid for, we are going for it! It seems every where we turn, there is another person sick- strep, flu, bronchitis, colds, etc. It's a little disconcerting because we received a letter from Shriners today that said that if she gets a mild cold within 2 weeks prior to surgery, it could be re-scheduled.  She had a growth spurt shortly after her surgery in March, so she has been in constant pain since June. She NEEDS this surgery to give her some relief. It could really make this germaphobe momma a bit ...

A few weeks ago we joined with our friends at Chinese playgroup and went to the zoo. They have a cute petting area  where the girls got to work brushing the sheep and goats. Aria and her cousin Aspen fed the parakeets. They weren't overly hungry(go figure) but if you forced a stick of seeds in their face, they gave in and nibbled a little bit, much to the girls delight. What a wonderful group of moms and kids!

We have had a fun, busy few weeks. My niece, her husband, his brother, and one of our other dear friends all came down for a long weekend. My niece married my oldest son's best friend and his younger brother is Ryan's best friend. We haven't seen them all in FAAARRR too long, so we were so thankful they came for a visit. What is a visit to GA without seeing the World's largest aquarium? This sweet girl made me know I needed a girl of my own someday. Before Nikki, I was an ALL boy mama and never wanted a daughter. Our oldest son had his birthday party on a  friends houseboat with  a prom theme. The newlyweds Nikki and Chuck Gosh, I love this girl! And I am SO PROUD of the Godly woman and wife that she has become.
