Here we go again.

We are ramping up for Gianna's next surgery, and at our house that means NO!
No  grocery stores
No school
No play group
No church
No ballet
No friends over

Nada, nothin, zilch.

We ARE however going to see the Mouse for a day, and then stay at the ocean for a week. I know that it contradicts the NO list, but we will be mostly alone at the beach, and we plan to keep Gianna gloved and masked at Disney. We planned this months ago before we had any surgery date, so since it's already paid for, we are going for it!

It seems every where we turn, there is another person sick- strep, flu, bronchitis, colds, etc. It's a little disconcerting because we received a letter from Shriners today that said that if she gets a mild cold within 2 weeks prior to surgery, it could be re-scheduled.  She had a growth spurt shortly after her surgery in March, so she has been in constant pain since June. She NEEDS this surgery to give her some relief.

It could really make this germaphobe momma a bit crazy with all the activities we are involved in! I have purposed NOT to worry and to give it to the Lord.We really pray that she stays healthy but ultimately, I trust that the timing and love of our Heavenly Father, and His plan for her (and her surgeries) are best.

(I have lots of catch up pictures to post, so all this at home time should help me get caught up!)

  2. I'm curious if the germ avoidance is a decision you have made as a family, or something the doctors have asked you to do? We are thinking about those sorts of things at this time, too.

  3. Praying for all of you! Hope you all have fun with the big Mouse.

  4. We are praying for health, safety and rest and relaxation. We know that a full day at Mouseland all bound up and protected from mouse germs will be difficult, so we are praying about that, too. Additionally, many are praying for a completely successful surgical procedure.
Have a wonderful time. We love you.
