I'm sick.....Goodbye.

Image
So, how's that for a title for a blog post?!? HA! More on that later..... Celia had her Make A Wish visit last weekend to determine her wish. The ladies who came to see her were very sweet. And they brought her bubbles in a princess wand. For Celia, bubbles=love.  We looked through a booklet of people places and things. Celia started SHRIEKING,  "Disney go, DISNEY GO!!" when we got to the Disney page. I think she might want to go see Mickey again. Just a a guess.  Sooooo..... We established a wish trip. But they needed a non-trip wish as well. We wracked our brains trying to think of something she would LOVE. Nada. Then one of the volunteers says, "You mentioned she loves water. How about a pool?" Hmmmmm...... She would LOVE THAT!!  Her two wishes are officially either a Disney trip OR a swimming pool in our backyard. We have about 3 months until we hear what she has been granted. Then after the sweet l...

Okay, last one.... for now.

"Mom, will you do me the honor?" A memory etched in this Momma's heart. “You don't raise heroes, you raise sons.  And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes,  even if it's just in your own eyes.” ―  Walter M Schirra.

I'm in LOVE. With these kids. With this picture. With the wedding. With what God has done.

Silly Girls

Image
While waiting for the wedding to start,  the girls decided to have a lil' photo fun.  Channeling her inner something-or-another. Not really sure. But she wears it well. I think.  Look! A tongue-curling beast with antlers. Be afraid. Be very afraid.  This looks like a mug shot. The only one she will ever have, mind you. And I plan to save this lil' number for future use. HA!  They even got Celia in on the goofiness. But not Sofia. She stays true to her inner-princess. At. All. Times. Her favorite saying is: "I look beautiful!" We plan to work on humility soon. :)

Twinny Twins Turn FOUR!

Image
We started the PARTY a day early when her teacher and therapists showed up for school and had gifts for the twins. We quickly decided pre-school was less important than a birthday celebration. Wonderful people love our girls. Seriously.  My sweet Sofia. She was SO EXCITED to have a birthday this year. And she knows how old she is. (Which was a tad confusing at first.) She wanted to pick out gifts for Celia. Because she is that sweet kinda girl.  And our baby Celia. How can she be FOUR? Praying that this year is a HEALTHY, non-eventful year.  We celebrated in the sunshine at the park.  They are breath-taking.  And oh-so-big. How does that happen?  Then we went for ice cream in the middle of the day. Because birthdays are just that special.  Celia LOVES IiiiiiEeeee. (ice cream) And we snuck  her a few birthday bites.  Our BEAUTIFUL and AMAZING friend and social w...

The Reception

Image
Cute flip flops greeted the guests as they came off the beach and into the reception hall. I just love all the fun, personal touches they thought of.  My marrieds. Now that the others are married too, I have no idea what to call them. Maybe..... Parents? Oops. Did I type that out loud? They have been married OVER a year now and all. Just sayin' a grandchild would be a welcome surprise.  More cuteness. Little place markers that had identifying info on the back. Sofia's said "Diva" and Celia's said, "Twinkle Toes" Perfect.  I have beautiful babies. All of them.  A little known fact about Celia is that she is quite the dancer. You get the music going and she is a PARTY GIRL!  Gianna says, "Can I go snuggle my Aunt Dani?"  I don't think Aunt Dani minded a bit.  Love them.  And before we knew it, it was time for them to head to Turks and Caicos. Ther...

The Wedding Day

Image
The flower girls and the sweet twinnies. Sofia may have needed a dress alteration. oops.  Brothers. Best friends. Best man and groom.  My brother and his beautiful wife. Love. Them.  Justin had the honor of his Grandfather uniting them in marriage. It was a special time for all. Do you see the way he is looking at his bride?!? They each wrote their own vows.  They were funny and heartfelt and totally unique to them. It was perfect.  The maid of honor was her lovely sister and her cousin was a bridesmaid. And of course my lil' angels are the flower girls.  I'm not gonna lie. My favorite part of weddings is the kiss. Call me a helpless romantic. Husband and Wife.

Wedding Week Part 2

Image
After Regina and her family arrived it was time to get to business. We headed to the wedding venue to have lunch and see the spot where they would be married first hand.  Aren't they adorable?  Beautiful sunsets.  Rehearsal bound. I may be a tad biased, but he is one handsome guy!  The dinner was fabulous and everyone had a great time. Doing a destination wedding means that some things you decide on sight unseen. The rehearsal dinner was one of those things. It turned out to be great! Whew.  Seven years ago we bought pearls in China for our sons to give their brides someday. Here is Justin's bride to be wearing hers. She is a treasure. After dinner, we invited all the wedding guests back to our beach house for a dessert buffet. It was such a relaxing, fun way to get to know each other's families. My sweet daughter Chelsea did an AMAZING job decorating the place. So thankful for her help! Lo...
