Button, Button Who has the Button?

Happy Monday to me. We headed out bright and early so that we could sit in traffic for an hour and a half to get to the GI Doc on time. Who made a 9 AM appointment to be in Atlanta anyway? Oh, yeah. That would have been me. Celia had her tummy food (a.k.a g-tube formula feed) on the road, and luckily for me Sofia , I totally forgot to grab her breakfast on the way out. Oh darn. I guess we HAD to stop at Starbucks for coffee   ahem , breakfast for her. About 40 minutes into our stop and go, Celia's pump started beeping that she was done with her feed. Not being able to shut it off while sipping coffee  driving, I let it beep away. We got to the GI with a few short minutes to spare, and as I got her out of her seat, I noticed something vaguely familiar dangling from her carseat. Oh yes, I remember what that is.... it's Her ENTIRE button. Luckily for ALL OF US , we were headed into the GI, so I was relatively calm as I ran , I mean, walked into the office b...

Stale.

I may or may not have been accused of letting my blog get stale. Ahem. Gotta love sarcastic oldest sons who live up North for their candor. Oops. Did I just point the finger at my accuser? Why, yes. Yes I did. HA! Sooooo, in the wonderful world of girls, we have: ~Had a sleep study for Celia. Results not in yet, but it appears she had a sleepless night (up 11:30-3:30 AM) but sleep apnea episodes were recorded. I'm guessing she will get oxygen or a c-pap in the near future. YAY! More cords to get tangled in at night. ~Her spinal tap and EEG were not ordered. I can't totally be angry since the Neuro ordering it has never seen Celia and was doing it as a favor. We are waiting to see another Neuro recommended by her Geneticist, so she fell through the cracks. What does this mean? Well the extended EEG is just another overnight stay in the hospital. NBD. The LP (lumbar puncture) will be non-sedated and painful. Sniff. ~The good news is that her MRI s...

A little souvenier

Left the land of all things magical a tad early because Sofia had a temperature of 102. Saw the doctor on Saturday, and was told it's a nasty virus going around. Thanks Mickey . Celia started the fever on Sunday. And the cough. And the hoarse voice. Operation "Keep Celia hydrated and out of the hospital" began. Fun stuff. The dirty laundry had babies on the car ride home. I am STILL trying to get ahead. Dontcha just hate it when laundry multiplies?? In other news, My sweet Celia goes inpatient next week for two days and nights for a battery of tests. I hope it shows NOTHING. Her bed was denied by insurance, but we got a call today that we may have a family who wants to donate one. We hope we are chosen. It would be a wonderful blessing. And other news, Someone sweeter than sugar turns SIX this week. She got to have a friend party this year, and she is not short of friends to invite. Still, she said she'd prefer to have dinner as a family and P...

Morn til Night.

We princessed, fairyed, twirled, skipped, giggled and partied it up from open to close. The parents took few photos (these are borrowed from Ryan) but we survived multiple g-tube feeds discreetly, schlepped all the medical supplies, etc and watched our girls enjoy the magic. Here is my favorite memory so far: Celia has been saying Mi-EE 3,789 times since we got in the car. In fact, her Daddy jokingly asked, "Who told her where we are going?!?" It may or may not have been me. Oops. Anyhoo, she could barely stand herself at the Mickey and Minnie meet and greet. I got her out of the stroller and was determined to let her "walk" in with her sisters. (Oh my achin' back!) Can I just say, as kindly as I can, that Mickey was a HUGE disappointment?!? He pretty much ignored Celia's shrieks of his name, or the fact that she was practically RUNNING to get to him. But Minnie? She saw sweet Celia and immediately plopped her costumed self on the flo...

A day in the life of a princess.

I think she wears it well. Unfortunately, not everything goes your way, even when you're a princess. She wears the princess pout well too, don't you think?

I made it...

....does that make me crafty? Naahhh, I didn't think so. I tried, I really did. But cutting strips of tulle and tying it on a elastic band and ironing on an applique really doesn't qualify as crafty. Still, I think she is rather adorable.
