Only 2 more sleeps...

... Until we can hug and kiss his neck again. During his  2 month time in East Asia, over 40 people accepted Christ!!! The team is devoted to disciplining them-I love that they are committed to their new brothers and sisters in Christ. He is coming home, yet he has already told us that he left part of his heart there.  As his mama, I know what that means....                                                                                                                                .......He will be going back. I am so thrilled and excited that the country that blessed us with our daughters, is a country that he feels called to return to. And I am scared, because I know that next time won't be only two months. And I have to admit, I am a tad jealous, because if there was anywhere in the world that I would love to serve in, it would definitely be there. So in two more sleeps, we will get in lots of hugs and kisses for the time we have with him.  Knowing when God calls him to go, h...

Buh-bye... See ya later.. The Dr. just called and said NO MORE hot, sweaty turtle shell for Gianna!! This radically changes our summer!!! The excitement has NOT worn off!

Aria adores Bentley. The novelty of her very own puppy has NOT diminished- even a tad bit.  She sits with him in the laundry room and plays music for him on her keyboard while he is eating. She insists that I bring him into her room each morning to wake her, and he gets the very last kisses each night. She also loves to make sure he has clean water, fresh food, and now that she is five, she takes him out to potty. She is a wonderful and devoted puppy owner. So it should be no surprise, that this morning she came walking into my room with Bentley like this: She was very proud of herself. "Could someone please help me? There is only so much lovin' I can take" Oh, he looks lonely. I think Hello Kitty needs to accompany him on our outing. "Hi, my name is Bentley. I hope you don't mind if I chew on your dress." The Princess and her Prince Charming... I think they make quite a pair!

An Aria analogy

Yesterday we were talking about things Aria wanted to tell our Maggie about her birthday. When we picked up Maggie for our weekly coffee date, I asked Aria what she wanted to tell Maggie. She paused for a few minutes and then started talking. Last night, when I put her to bed, she says: "Mommy, you know when I was quiet before I started talking to Maggie today? Well, my brain is just like a computer and I was waiting for the information to load ." She cracks me up. I can't believe I don't have a more- recent picture of the girls and Maggie! Okay, Mags, we need a photo shoot AND soon!!

Birthday Girl.

Aria turned 5 last Saturday, sigh.... five. It sounds so, so.... big girlish. We started the day with breakfast in bed- sort of. When I told her the night before she would wake up to breakfast in bed to start her birthday, she said, " Why do I have to stay in my bed to eat??" So we comprimised our little tradition and she had breakfast in MY bed.  We then donned her new birthday dress and headed to our favorite tea room to have a mother daughter tea with 8 of her little friends. Hat selection is an important part of the tea experience. Maybe not this one..... The girls were so well mannered and seemed to have a great time! After tea, we rushed off to meet our big brother to see only the second movie she's ever seen in a theatre. She was very excited. We completed our birthday marathon with Papa, presents, birthday dinner, cake and tattoos. Happy Birthday sweet girl! We are all so proud of you and so thankful the Lord blessed us with you. You are everything I dreamt a daug...
