Happily Ever After...

On Thursday my little sissy and her hubby were headed through Atlanta on their way to NC and we were blessed that those weary travelers were VERY weary, so instead of driving straight through, they made a TOO SHORT overnight stop at our house. I held the big girls up so  that Aunt Candee(the girls named her Candee) and Uncle Jon-Erik could read our new favorite Christmas book with us. They had to hit the road the first thing in the morning, but got to see the twins for the very first time! Come back, we miss you already!!!  Then on Friday we had a Dr visit marathon. Again "we" means me. We left the house at 9 AM and went to the Ped to get yet MORE shots. Apparently they didn't get enough blood to test Sofia's titers to vaccines, so we had to decide to go ahead and re-vaccinate OR let them dig around and find tiny veins, hope they don't collapse enough to get 3 vials of blood. Hi-ho the dario, to therapy we shall go! We had Celia's OT and PT therapy evaluations. Remember the adorable thing she does with her feet ? Yeah, not allowed to let her do that. Apparently, it's not so adorable and she needs to use her hands. Yes, my wrists still sting from being slapped. So our schedule is about to get super-busy. We have decided to use the double dip approach for her care. We will use Babies C@nt W@it (a GA program provided through the state) who will come to our home in the mornings and do therapy with her while I homeschool, and we will have 2 OT visits per week, and 1 PT and 1 Speech Therapy per week as well in the afternoon through Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. It is a 35 min drive each way, but right now I would have to tour a closer facility first before switching, because they are state of the art. We also have a plethora of Dr appointments sprinkled in for both twins. Neuro, ENT, Eye Dr,Dentist, to name just a few. Add that to homeschoo...

 Ryan looks like he is doing something naughty... I hope Santa didn't catch whatever it is he did.  The sweet, sweet couple. Chelsea is a blessing to our whole family. I love how she adores her man.  Gianna put all ornaments but this one on the VERRRYYY bottom of the tree. I guess she wanted the dog to have something to look at. HA!  Sofia got to hang the panda since she had panda jammies on.  Aria and Chelsea did most of the decorating. She reached a little higher than her sisters thankfully.  Unfortunately, we had to decorate without our Yo here this year. Aria wanted to send you a very special message. You are LOVED and MISSED. We thought Celia's "Baby's First Christmas" ornament was very fitting. A SPOON for our eating girl!

And here's what I've learned: ~The dishwasher is 90% full of baby bottles and coffee cups. ~The  Very Hungry Caterpillar looks anorexic compared to our voracious eaters. ~My husband looks very handsome wearing a baby. Just sayin'. ~If you think you have enough (diapers, wipes, formula, bottle inserts, clothes, socks, bibs, toys, baby food, spoons, oatmeal,juice, sleep, OR coffee) YOU DON'T. ~The comments haven't stopped since we got home, and are even more ridiculous. In China people wanted to know A) If we had 2 sets of twins and B) If they were all ours. Here is a few of the zingers we have gotten since we have been home: Yelled from across the baby department- "How the heck are you going to pay for all those weddings?" Well sir, I'm just trying to buy them diapers right now, I think I have 20 years to worry about saving for weddings, but hey, thanks for  giving me one more thing to keep me up at night. And my personal favorite- ...

I know the grandparents, aunts and uncles, (and even the big brother)who live far away like to see pictures of these girlies, so here is one from today. Oh, by the way.... The Dr noticed that they have identical birthmarks. Which would only happen if they are identical twins. Which means... I WIN!!!!! Love you all and can't wait until you can kiss on these sweet babies cheeks!

~We went to the Dr yesterday with the twins. When I say we , think me. Alone. With twins. At the Doctor. For blood draws, undressing,re-dressing, and lots and lots of tears. We were there for THREE AND A HALF HOURS. Not even kidding. They almost invited us to stay for lunch. Except they were as sick of us as I was of all of them, so we left. HA! I won a brand new double stroller as my prize for surviving with my sanity. My husband is AMAZING! Anyhoo, the exciting news is... drum roll please.... Sofia gained one pound.... AND................ Celia gained almost THREE POUNDS in just three weeks!!!! I'd say that's some Punkin Chunkin!!!

Just 3 weeks ago, this baby had been bottle fed only for 26 months. We started to feed her cheerios and puffs the first few days we had her, and her tongue fought hard to purge the food right out. Daddy has been the champion at trying to feed her more and more variety. At first,  stage one baby food was hard for her to swallow. Little by little she has been able to chew a few things without gagging, and today she ate her very first toddler meal, and LOVED it.  Once we master something, we move ahead with it, so there is no more baby food for our eating girl. See ya' later baby food, I know we loved you for just 3 weeks, but Miss Celia is a TODDLER food eater now!!!
