To therapy we will go, to therapy we will go..

Hi-ho the dario, to therapy we shall go!

We had Celia's OT and PT therapy evaluations. Remember the adorable thing she does with her feet? Yeah, not allowed to let her do that. Apparently, it's not so adorable and she needs to use her hands.
Yes, my wrists still sting from being slapped.

So our schedule is about to get super-busy. We have decided to use the double dip approach for her care. We will use Babies C@nt W@it (a GA program provided through the state) who will come to our home in the mornings and do therapy with her while I homeschool, and we will have 2 OT visits per week, and 1 PT and 1 Speech Therapy per week as well in the afternoon through Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. It is a 35 min drive each way, but right now I would have to tour a closer facility first before switching, because they are state of the art. We also have a plethora of Dr appointments sprinkled in for both twins. Neuro, ENT, Eye Dr,Dentist, to name just a few.

Add that to homeschooling, art classes, geography class, piano lessons, science club and our Keepers at Home Club for our big girls, and we are going to be BUSY.

The therapist recommended we get a therapy ball for her to strengthen her core and get her to like being on her tummy. We do this 4-5 times a day.
She gets practice lifting her head so she can see what's going on around her.
Having B@rney on the TV might be our weapon of choice. She LOVES B@rney.
Daddy is so wonderful to help with as many sessions as he can. It is actually relaxing for her and we usually have both ALL of them on it after she is done.
And every now and then we get her squeal of delight when Daddy makes it bounce.
Cant wait to see what strides our Princess will make with all these therapies!

  1. Who knew that "cute thing" with her feet wasn't good for her? I was looking forward to seeing her in action! I knew in my heart that you would have a difficult schedule with the Dr.'s and such, but this sounds like a full time job. We will be there as soon as we can to lend a hand. I sure hope hugs and kisses are allowed too. I like the looks of that ball, good thing Bogie doesn't live there anymore. He might try to ride it.

  2. I'm cheering you and little Celia on! Those muscles will definitely get stronger with use and we'll all just have to wait and see what comes in the way of control. Meanwhile, she sure is looking stronger, healthier and happier with every picture you post.
