Tis the season!
On Thursday my little sissy and her hubby were headed through Atlanta on their way to NC and we were blessed that those weary travelers were VERY weary, so instead of driving straight through, they made a TOO SHORT overnight stop at our house. I held the big girls up so
that Aunt Candee(the girls named her Candee) and Uncle Jon-Erik could read our new favorite Christmas book with us.
They had to hit the road the first thing in the morning, but got to see the twins for the very first time!
Come back, we miss you already!!!
Then on Friday we had a Dr visit marathon. Again "we" means me. We left the house at 9 AM and went to the Ped to get yet MORE shots. Apparently they didn't get enough blood to test Sofia's titers to vaccines, so we had to decide to go ahead and re-vaccinate OR let them dig around and find tiny veins, hope they don't collapse enough to get 3 vials of blood. We opted for the shots- less traumatic. We left the Dr's office, headed to see big brother working at St@rbucks and then stopped for a quick lunch and headed to the ENT. We arrived at 12:30 and did not get home until 4:30 PM.
Me and my less-than-thrilled four daughters. Yay me!
They had to almost-surgically remove deeply embedded ear wax from both the twins. It was more trauma for those poor babies. UGH!
On Saturday the big girls got to have a buddy day with Ryan and Chelsea while Mommy and Daddy took the twins and went to a wedding for a very special couple. They got to make cookies! Gianna takes snowflakes very seriously, and her cookie is hidden under that blizzard.
Please don't check my trashcan- I have NO IDEA how all those
(wink, wink)
We then decided to seize a Christmas moment and head to get pizza and then to a local college that has a drive through Christmas light display.
Celia loves her big brother. The babies of my bunch (and this time I really mean it!!)
What a crew! And we are missing Justin and Regina- can't wait for them to get here to join the festivities!
Well, we got to the turn to the college and it was literally backed up for miles each direction. Knowing all the girls would be sound asleep before we ever got through to the entrance, we opted for plan B
KRISPY KREME with the HOT SIGN ON!!!
Daddy got the big girls adorable snowman donuts. They weren't too attached and promptly bit the head off. Sorry Frosty!
Aria can get Sofia to make the funniest faces!
My four girls watching them make the donuts. The big vat of oil frying them should deter us from eating them, but alas, we all threw caution to the wind.
Sofia has just become the newest KK addict. She LOVED them!
That's what I call an action packed three days. And as Mary Poppins says "a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down". With the cookies and the KK's I think you met the criteria. I love the pic of Sofia eying the fresh warm doughnut. There is pure joy on her face. They all look so happy and contented. Looks to me like you are doing your job well, as always. We can't wait to get there and share the joy in person. Love always
