What has occupied ALL of our time this summer

First we took THIS pile of wood....
And this hideous back yard......
And decided that we would build the girls one of these....
But then the backyard looked like THIS, which wasn't much better, SOOOO......
We decided to do this.
But to keep it from washing down hill in a rainstorm, we had to add this:

And then what is a playground if there is no place for the parents?
So we decided to add this:
So the finished product looks like this:

However, it is waayyy too hot out here, so to actually use the patio, we had to buy THIS:
And if it ever gets cold here in Georgia, we will need THIS:
THe view from the top looks like this:

And, when the boys want to play horseshoes, or bocce ball,
we decided to a "big boy area" like this:

And THIS is the future pool area, but rest assured, we ARE NOT digging that ourselves!
We are done! (for now)
(This blog post was written under a covered patio, while sipping an iced coffee and listening to the giggles of little girls on the adjacent swing set. Ahhhh, sweet summertime is here at last!)
