My Firstborn.

I don't post much about my boys, primarily because they are no longer boys, they are men,(sniff) and I want to respect their privacy.

But today, I decided to violate my own rule and brag a bit on both my boys in a few posts.

For my birthday this year, my oldest son, Justin decided to give me the gift of a date night out with him. His life is pretty busy right now- He is on the graphic design team for a major children's clothing retailer, church and care groups, he has become quite the gym rat, and he has a love interest that is not necessarily in the same state. He may be moving away....

Despite it all, he is a faithful firstborn son and accept the responsibility that brings. He calls several times a day to check on me when his dad is out of town. He watches the girls twice a month so his dad and I can date. I know that, God forbid, if anything ever happened to his dad, he would step in to assume the roles needed to care for the girls and I.

A date night was the perfect gift. I would have be thrilled with Subw@y, but he picked one of the top 10 restaurants in Atlanta called Nikoli's Roof. It was over the top fabulous! We spent 3 hours enjoying delicious course after course, and talking the whole time. Making a precious mother-son memory.

I am so thankful that 23 years ago, God blessed us with him. I am so proud of him for all he is, and the man he has become. Simply put, I adore my firstborn son!
I love you son!

  5. I just came here from my daughters blog 'Grains of Sand' I love this post. I go into London and meet up with my sons every now and again, sometimes with my husban and sometimes on my own if he is busy. We have a great time, my youngest son is married but my eldest son and 3rd child is single, he aways knows the best places to go. Lovely photo of you and you son...you are blessed!

Happy belated birthday! When was it? Mine is the 21st. Must be the're close!
One can only hope that my only boy grows up to be as great as both of yours. Just so they both know...when she talked about you two (the girls were roomies) you could see in her face how she adores you guys!! Very proud of all that you have accomplished and what great brothers you are to the girls.

Any news on Gianna's next surgery?

Would love to keep up better....life huh!! sorry!
