Stale.
I may or may not have been accused of letting my blog get stale.
Ahem.
Gotta love sarcastic oldest sons who live up North for their candor.
Oops.
Did I just point the finger at my accuser?
Why, yes.
Yes I did.
HA!
Sooooo, in the wonderful world of girls, we have:
~Had a sleep study for Celia. Results not in yet, but it appears she had a sleepless night
(up 11:30-3:30 AM) but sleep apnea episodes were recorded. I'm guessing she will get oxygen or a c-pap in the near future.
YAY! More cords to get tangled in at night.
~Her spinal tap and EEG were not ordered. I can't totally be angry since the Neuro ordering it has never seen Celia and was doing it as a favor. We are waiting to see another Neuro recommended by her Geneticist, so she fell through the cracks.
What does this mean?
Well the extended EEG is just another overnight stay in the hospital. NBD.
The LP (lumbar puncture) will be non-sedated and painful.
Sniff.
~The good news is that her MRI shows no brain lesions associated with Leighs disease.
YAY JESUS!
~Celia has pre-school 3 days at week here at home. Her teacher is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
Love this woman. She includes Sofia, since "it is more fun with her twin" and they do crafts, sing songs and have a blast. Celia can tell you that A says "ahh" and B says "buh" if you ask her.
~Gianna has surgery May 2nd and her ballet recital on May 11. Call me crazy, but I haven't told them she will not be there.... yet. I am going to watch her routine next week to see how much Movin' and Shakin' she has to do, and maybe, just maybe, I will let her go ahead. She has worked ALL YEAR for this recital, and I hate for her to miss out on important things in her life due to all these surgeries.
Did you just call me crazy?
Yeah, thought so.
~We have just 18 more days left of school for this year and we are DONE! So proud of my girls for staying strong until the end. We take a break from mid-April through June and the start again in July.
~My brother is HOME. He still has to re-learn stuff and pace himself. He is suffering from symptoms from exhaustion. It's hard to have a young athletic guy not jump right back in to his normal routine.
Thanks for all the love and prayers sent our way.
~Well that's all I got. To humor you, I have a few pictures from my cellphone. Doesn't that make my blog seem FRESH??
Oops, my cell phone and my computer aren't on speaking terms.
I hate it when that happens.
Oh well.
Happy Weekend!

That's a lot on your plate my dear. Tell that smart alec son I say hello - and to be nice to his momma :)
ReplyDeleteLove to all - Hope the heavy storms missed you.
As fast as Gianna always recovers from her surgeries, I like your wait and see attitude. Usually she could be doing her ballet the day after her surgery as she prances down the hospital hallway :)
ReplyDeleteStale....never. Your posts are always worth the wait! Thanks for letting us tag along on your adventurous journey. Most importantly, you always give us a proper glimpse of what to pray for your sweet family!! And we are!
ReplyDeleteToo much to digest at one setting; we had to come back a time or two, and now all we can say is "Wow, how do you do it all?" So many blessings, so much for which to praise The Lord and so much for which to pray. Our God was awesome, is awesome and will continue to be awesome (whether in the ER, the OR, the BR or the CR).
ReplyDeletep.s.: The last two are ballet room and class room.
Love you!
I just had a look at the Special Tomato that you mentioned. It look really good and reclines, too! I didn't know that they had a reclining model. I wish I could go somewhere and try it out. It would sure work longer if we needed it for several years. Sometimes I wonder if she'll be able to walk longer and farther if she was taller. How tall is Gianna now? I still don't know what Gianna's special need is. I'd love to just talk with you on the phone some time, one mom to another going through all of this. Can you please email me? My email link is in my blog profile.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about you since you are usually pretty active on your blog. Sounds like things are busy and a lot of things going on. Hugs to you
