According to my Iphone...
We have been really busy! Here are a few (okay, ALOT) of pictures off my phone:
On June 6th, this precious, sweeter-than-sugar, girl turned 8. We went to tea to celebrate, just me and my four girls. It was a very special day for my big girl! Her Daddy was out of town, so he suggested we give her little surprises throughout the day. At the very end of the evening, he spoke to her on the phone and asked her what her favorite thing was. The presents? Nope. The surprises? Nope.
Her answer reflects who she is: "It was when you all woke me up and sang Happy Birthday to me and you were on the speaker phone Daddy."
Her family. That's what means the most to this precious girl. My heart might burst.
We had our first of the summer Cousins Camp. Since there is 8 of these girlies, my sister and I decided to rotate each week and have a theme and crafts throughout the summer months. The first week they did a bird theme and made pine cone bird feeders. It was so fun!
The peaches this year have CHANGED. MY. LIFE. There is a farmers market outside our neighborhood each Tuesday and my sister and I split a case each and every week.
We eat some, and.....

Gianna was channeling her inner school-marm. HA!
Sofia just CANNOT BELIEVE she gets her choice of hats. gloves, necklaces, and purses.
The tea room may be a lil' slice of heaven for this girl.
Celia proves once again that JOY is contagious.
Dare ya' not to smile back.
The birthday girl has a new love of legos. We pulled out her brothers 20 year old pirate legos and although they were, ahem... fun.... she was longing for a more girly version.
We have been building lots and lots of lego dollhouse, cafe, vets these days.

We eat some, and.....
We bake some.
And.....
We can some.
I have dubbed this, "The Summer of the Peach"
and therefore the rules state that you must make something scrumptious each and every week.
Up next: Peach Salsa and Peach Barbeque Sauce.
In my spare time, of course.
Oh, and Gianna had a post-op stitch abscess that needed attention.
Yes, I have a picture.
No I won't post it.
I will spare you the gore.
Thankfully, it is healing nicely now.
And another shot I will spare you is of Celia's tongue.
She had a seizure while the Physical Therapist had her.
She bit the HECK out of her little tongue.
We see the Neurologist next week.
Sigh.
Also we spent a week at VBS, which is a first for my girls.
It was super-fun since my girlfriends stayed and hung out with me there,
but let's just say that this PROVES I am a homeschool mom.
Getting little ones up, fed and out every morning
FOR AN ENTIRE WEEK
was exhausting.
I cannot imagine an entire school year.
In happier news, we pulled off a HUGE SURPRISE.....
What to get the most amazing father and husband for Father's Day?
How about a relaxing weekend for the guy who does literally everything for everyone??
I was able to pull off the surprise, and we left at 3:30 AM Saturday
for a whirl wind 36 hour trip to Destin beach.
I think he liked it.
Diva does Destin.
Delicious, no?
Sand and Surf make for sleepy twins.
Momma happily sat and snuggled them.
Aria thinks leaving the beach after 36 hours is a no-go.
Actually, that's not what she gave the thumbs down to.
Her brother suggested he might move somewhere she does not approve of.
Neither does his mother.
He is free to move wherever he wants,
As long as the state begins with a "G".
I don't find that unreasonable, do you?
Now we are home.
I have brought at least half the ocean's sand home with us
in our car,
our clothes,
our toys,
and our beach chairs.
And I have a laundry pile the size of Mount Everest.
And a sunburn.
But we made another AWESOME family memory.
What great memories. Sorry to hear your son is moving, tht is hard. and Peaches look good. Sounds like a busy but fun filling summer for you.
ReplyDeleteWhich market do you go to?
ReplyDeleteThe farm market on Tuesdays at Sixes Rd Presb Church from 3-8PM.
DeleteGreat pics my friend! If I can find it, would you like Mom's receipe for spiced peach jam?
ReplyDeleteDid you ever buy the Special Tomato stroller?
ReplyDeleteIt actually is being delivered today. Adaptive mall has an amazing sale on them and you buy one liner and get the other free. With shipping it was just $500 for everything. I'll post pictures soon.
DeleteI'd wondered if you were getting one of the Special Tomato strollers! I remember you mentioning it in one of your comments on my blog. I can't wait to see yours and see your daughter in it. I don't have your email address. Can you please email me? The link is in my blog profile. I so much want to talk to you on the phone!
ReplyDeleteWow; we'll agree you have been busy! But it's all been good stuff (peaches, beaches, cousins, VBS), all except the tongue, of course. It seems it has been forever since we have seen you; looking forward to seeing you soon! We love you.
