In the last month....

Whew! I can't believe my blog has been dormant for almost a WHOLE MONTH.
Sheesh.
I thought I'd show you what we've been up to.
Just so you know that we haven't been sitting around eating bonbons or something.

First, the twins got a little cuter, if that's even possible.

And then Celia had 57 doctor appointments that were an hour away.
Okay, not really, but almost 57.

Then Gianna, who would not be outdone by her little sister,
decided to have her FIRST LOCAL SURGERY.

Which included an ENTIRE DAY of pre-op appointments.
An hour away of course.
I decided to declare it a homeschool field trip.
I'm fun like that.

 Sofia played dress-up 57 times.
And looked mighty adorable doing it.

Daddy was mauled by a passel of girls.
And lived to tell the tale.

Gianna got to try out her new wheelchair stroller.
And she and Curious George prepared for their 9th surgery.
With grace and joy as always.

Gianna made a BIG IMPRESSION on the anesthesia team during pre-op.
They completely changed their schedule to be her anesthesia team for surgery.
They brought her a "Team Awesome" t-shirt
And made a very nervous little girl forget what was coming.

And even gave me cell phone pictures and updates while Gianna was in the O.R.
How amazing is that?!?
Then new Dr came out and sat and chatted with us for 15 minutes.
We have NEVER had a Dr. sit with us after surgery and explain any and everything.
I like it.
I like it a lot.
He told us that Gianna had captured everyone's hearts and that even he took her picture in the O.R. and sent it to his wife.
She was quite the celebrity.

She barely opened her eyes and they rushed us out the door.
They wanted us to get her home while she was still loopy.
It was a scary, but good plan.
She spoke gibberish for most of the ride.
YAY Anesthesia!
At the hospital at 6AM and home by12PM.
No airplanes or overnight stays required.
I. LOVE. IT.

 Then in other exciting news,
Celia got this lovely little number delivered.
It's an oxygen tank.

And also got the nifty little pulse ox machine that will now be referred to "Toe Glow"
She will have toe glow to monitor her oxygen levels every night with an alarm that will sound when her oxygen  level drops below 90.
We will send the data to her Dr and will add oxygen accordingly.
Sleep is overrated anyway.

Let's just say, that she doesn't love toe glow and leave it at that.
Her feet are her hands and she doesn't like them messed with.
AND,
We have another cord in the bed for her to wrap herself up in.

We also got these lovely little travel tanks.
Because we definitely did not have enough equipment.
Breathing machines, g-tube supplies, wheelchair, diapers,
and a plethora of meds was just too easy apparently.

We also added a bag breathing therapy to the mix.
We force air into her lungs to expand her chest before each breathing treatment.

She thinks it's really fun.

So that's our month in a nutshell.
No Big Deal.
HA!
