Travel, School, and Sweet Surprises

Well, it's July and so we are now back to school. The girls have been off since April 18, so don't feel too sorry for them. HA!

Before they started, they spent 5 days with their brothers and their wives in sunny Florida. Let me just say, for posterity, that this was a BIG deal for Aria.

She is unapologetically a "Mama's girl" and does not want to be away from me at any time, for any reason.

She went, and had a wonderful time and many, many special memories were made.

 What's not to love, right?

My married kids  were SUPER AWESOME in loving and caring for their sisters.

And they willingly followed Mom's neurotic safety rules.
Ahhh, I love them all to pieces!

Meanwhile, back at the Ranch.....
I had one quiet night with just the twinnies as Daddy was in England for business.
I collapsed right after they did at 7:32PM.
Wild and crazy, I tell ya'.

We went to the airport to get Daddy and I hadn't told the twins what we were doing,
you know, just in case his flight was delayed or something.
I know, I know, CRUEL.
(except for the fact that his flight was almost diverted to Alabama, and driving an hour home with wailing twins would have killed me)

Guess who just found out her Daddy was getting off the plane?
Just guess!
HA!

In other very BIG important news.....

Gianna got her one true wish come true in a random, ordinary day.
It was Make A Wish A-LA Daddy style.
Her dream is to have her very own puppy named Baxter.

Her Grandma wanted to buy her one in April.
I said, "Are you trying to kill me?"
HA!
Not really, but sort of.

Then a person we know had a litter,
and well, he went to look at them, and the rest is history.

He is TINY!! ANd because he is such a fur-ball, it's hard to tell.
He weighs just one pound.
So let me give you a little visual:

He fits in a coffee mug.
Bwahahaha!
I've made my mother and older sister proud.
I have officially joined the ranks of a "Dog Lady"

And thanks to her Daddy, a little brave girl has had her wish come true.

Now we know why so many students go crazy over spring break at the beach. What fun! And that Baxter......what a cutie! He is every young lady's "cup o' tea," sorry, I mean "cup of pup." Precious!
