Sofia
It seems our special needs sweeties can dominate conversation.
In real life.
On my blog.
Hey, when you have a wheelchair,
a g-tube
or 8 surgeries under your belt,
let's face it...
There is ALOT to talk about.
So I thought I'd mix things up a bit
and talk about my non-special needs sweet girls.
First up is Sofia.
With a "F"
NOT a "PH"
In keeping with the true Italian spelling.
Because that is important when naming Chinese kids.
HA!
And we don't call her "Sofie"
Nor will we ever.
So please don't either,
thankyouverymuch.
Sofia is joyful.
(Unless she is crying.)
Let's face it, we all like to get our way.
Sofia is no exception.
But those crying jags have become less and less.
We are SO PROUD of her for learning to control her emotions.
Sofia LOVES to think of others.
"Be careful Momma"
"Don't fall Gianna"
She will start folding a pile of laundry faster than I can make it to it.
And makes her bed every morning.
She loves to push Celia's wheelchair.
Or pick up the shoe Celia kicked off.
She alerts me if Celia is unhappy.
And puts on a new "show" when Celia is getting tummy food.
Just because she loves to care for others.
Are all sweet reminders that she is worried about her family.
Sofia ADORES her twinny twin twin.
She looks out for her.
She plays with her.
She endures Celia's love-kicks.
And the not-so loving ones.
She comforts her twin.
And encourages her.
And will always be the shoulder Celia can lean on.
Sofia will openly tell you,
" I MAMA'S GIRL."
She cries when I leave her.
Even to run to the store.
And waves pitifully at me at the window.
With alligator tears streaming down her face.
She is my faithful side kick.
I love that.
Sofia loves to have fun.
And she can be a little spicy.
Just so she's not boring.
She likes routine so she knows what to expect.
She loves to please.
She is snuggly.
And loves to read books.
Especially "Llama, llama" ones.
She would NEVER show up to church without her Bible.
Cause that just wouldn't be proper.
She has livened up our family.
And we are blessed to have her as our daughter.
Her brother affectionately nicknamed her,
"SPICY MONKEY"
I think that fits.
She is the spice we all needed in our lives.
She is so beautiful! What a blessing she has been to your family. Its so sweet to see her with her sister.
ReplyDeleteSofia has become a beautiful little girl who has a caring heart. She can now stand on her own but she really loves to stand "by, up for, and with" her twin. I love to see how the two of them seem to know what each other is thinking. They operate in a world that we can only watch an wish we could be a part of. TWINS!! Truly His creation!
