Festivities on the Fourth
I would just like to thank Pinterest for the adorable idea that graced our front door.
Sofia and Celia did the flags, and Aria and Gianna did the thumbprint stars.
Isn't it cute???
Guess which one was Celia's flag.
She took a little creative license with her stars.
She thought it was too much fun to stop.
So we let her.
So we let her.
Was that too much of a hint?
This has absolutely nothing to do with July 4th,
but the twins hold toes when we are in the car,
and I let them take their shoes off.
Seriously.
Ain't that just the sweetest thing?!?
We braved the local parade.
Or as Greg called it...
a spam-arade.
Every. single. candidate. up for election has a pick up truck.
And wants your vote.
And will throw candy at your kids to try to get it.
Go figure.
Celia is stylin' in her shades.
And we managed to use her cooling vest (seen behind her) to keep her nice and cool.
We then came home and did chores.
And napped.
And did fireworks at home after the twins were in bed.
(Celia is definitely having seizures and is starting new medication, so we didn't want the lights and sounds to induce a seizure at a fireworks display.
we have enough excitement in our lives thankyouverymuch.)
And now I think it's Monday.
I'm so confused that I showed up for a 10 AM Doctor appointment that is at 3 PM.
At least I got the day right.
HA!
Hope your 4th was blessed!
That toe holding picture is absolutely precious. So is your front door! What do you think about the cooling vest and where did you get it? I would love to get Abby was- as she loves to pass out in the heat. Fun huh? We are going to MS- which has to be the hottest place on earth next week for lots of baseball. So just thought I'd ask what you think.
ReplyDeleteOlder sister of mine...the one with MS...uses cooling neckerchiefs all the time. She gets hers at REI. They are a godsend to her, as getting too hot induces MS symptoms.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics, love the decorations!
That is a very cute idea and the toe touching twins....doesn't surprise me at all. Sorry to hear about the seizures and hope the medication will lessen them.
