Busy, busy.
Hmmmm....
Where have we been lately?
It has be a crazy few weeks, mostly in a good way.
Shopping for dresses for the wedding for 5 of us girls.
Shopping for a beach house to stay in for the week
Add school in to the mix and we are really busy.
Oh, and did I mention.....
MY SON IS GETTING MARRIED IN FOUR WEEKS?!?
So exciting.
In other news, guess what we learned about Miss Celia on our way out of a restaurant?
She is a kleptomaniac.
She steals spoons.
(Or whatever her sisters slip her on the sly)
(Or whatever her sisters slip her on the sly)
And was quite proud of that fact.
HA!
Gianna got new glasses.
We have learned that having no bridge to your nose can make holding up glasses quite difficult.
The last pair would NOT stay up which drove me crazy.
These seem to be faring much better and she looks so grown up.
Sniff.
In other news, the twins has their first "movie night" in Celia's crib.
They were SO EXCITED.
As you can see, we have no room left in her crib. she is literally at the end of the bed.
So without further adieu,
let me introduce you to....
HER NEW SPECIAL NEEDS BED!!!
Some very special friends custom made this for her.
Right before they moved to Asia for 2 years.
Yeah.
He is a craftsman who makes custom furniture,
and fit making her bed into his busy schedule of
packing their house and moving to ASIA.
For TWO YEARS.
And he still made her bed.
As a gift to our girl.
WOW!
It is a twin sized hospital bed
that has full hydrolics to raise and lower the bed, and the head and foot.
And he made the crib/cage around it.
And if we raise the bed, the cage raises with it.
Pretty cool, huh?
As you can see, the doors open away from her, so that she won't get pinched.
Then we can open it as she gets too heavy to lift, and she can slide out and into her wheelchair.
Is it not AMAZING?!?
We just have to paint it to match her furniture, and we are ready to go!
We are thrilled.
Humbled.
Grateful.
Blessed.
In other, not-so happy news,
Our water main broke.
And we had water damage.
And lost our azaleas.
Which looks totally redneck.
Like our house is missing it's front teeth, or something.
UGH!
Soooo while my sweet man was fixing the leak,
I got a wild crazy idea and started whacking all the bushes down to nothing to match the front.
Basically I shaved all our bushes bald.
Yes, it looks bad.
But possibly better than the picture above.
Possibly.
And my secret hope is that none of them recover and we re-do our front yard in the fall.
Shhhh, don't tell.
And lastly, but most importantly...
In this EXACT SPOT
on a private beach in Florida,
just 4 weeks from now,
My son will marry his bride.
SQUEAL!!!!
