Every. Day.

In the midst of medical stuff,
sleepless nights,
pulse ox alarms blaring,

 uncertainity,
unanswered questions,
a new normal,

we have purposed to remember our focus,
and the REASON for the season,
to enjoy our children,

 and LOVE HEARTILY
Every. Single. Day.

to make memories,
to live like every day is our last.

Because each day is a treasured gift.
We don't want to EVER lose sight of that.

This is Lucy.
This picture was take on December 3, 2012
On December 14th, Lucy lost her battle with Mito Complex 1.
She was 4 years old, just like Celia.
She lives in our neighborhood.
Lucy was a bright, cheerful bundle of JOY.
Just. like. Celia.
And today, her parents arms are empty.
I ACHE for them.
And snuggle each one of my girls a little bit longer.

Please join me in praying for Lucy's family.

  1. Thanks for sharing the information about your neighbor, Cristy. We know Lucy's family is hurting, and we will certainly keep them in our prayers. We enjoyed the pictures of chefs making Christmas goodies and know they most have been deliciously sweet, considering the sweet hands and feet that lovingly created them.

  2. So Sorry to hear about Lucy as losing a child is one of the hardest things. Seeing the pictures of Celia, smiling and laughing, brings tears to my eyes, that yes you are creating her the happiest life she can possibly have.

  3. Praying for her family. Loving and praying for you as well. Just read a book about living a good story - You are creating a wonderful story for your children because of your love, courage, strength and humor. Love you!
