We're HOME!

The girls with Grandmommy( my mom)
Beautiful Aunt Gwen is 100 and a half! She  is sharper than a tack and recited a poem for me that her mother gave her for her 40th birthday- SIXTY YEARS AGO!!!  Sheesh, I can't remember 60 minutes ago!
Gianna is having fun with her Grandmommy!
We had a great day at my friends house with all the kids! She is as true blue of a friend as I will ever have- just don't let her catch me calling her Dr.  She HATES that! ( but she is!) She made it her valiant mission to try to get us to move back to VA. Tempting for sure:)
Making/eating brownies at Grandma Maggie's house. Talk about a fun night! She is wonderful and we love her so much. I spent my evening trying to get her to move to GA. Didn't work:(

And lots of things that had no pictures. I saw several dear friends that I haven't seen in over 5 years. We showed Aria our old house, and we saw my bestest friend in the world, who came all the way down from WVA after working all day, to sit in a car outside St@r bucks, just to see Gianna for a short time. Love you Denise!

THEN, we tried to come home.....

My mom dropped me off at 12:30 pm to give me plenty of time to get through security and to our gate. Unfortunately, the flight was delayed- Twice.

But then we happily boarded, taxied down the runway and...

STOPPED.
 FOR THREE HOURS.
On the tarmac, with water offered only once the entire time.
But then we FINALLY took off for the one and a half hour flight, and 100 miles from Atl,

The airport closed.
AND MADE US CIRCLE THE DAG GUM AIRPORT FOR 30 MORE MINUTES!!!!!

That was officially NINE HOURS later that we landed safely and starving.

How's that for  a first trip alone with 2 toddlers?

Glad the joy of the trip overshadowed the terrible flight home.

AND,

I came home to my sweet, precious husband standing there( for hours) a with 2 dozen roses in one hand and chicken nuggets for the girls in the other. What a guy!

Then we got home, and I had an even BIGGER surprise, that deserves it's own post:) But here's a little hint: It is white and has a cord..

  4. Ok. Your aunt does not look anywhere near 100. My granny is 91 and a half and she looks good and doesn't look her age. And then I see your aunt. Wow. That's amazing.

One reason I don't want to fly with children is the fear of what happened to you! I'm so glad that it's over for you (and that you were able to have such a wonderful trip).
