Reformation Sunday
Well.. Aria rallied in time to attend our church's annual Reformation Sunday celebration. It is always a really fun time! The kids get to dress as a Bible character, or something that God made. Since they are our lil monkeys in real life, it seemed only fitting to dress the part.
The first part is a skit and a movie about William Tynsdale who smuggled Bibles. The girls marched right in, and sat in the veeeerrryyy front.
Aren't they adorable peeking back at us? Adorable that is, until Gianna stood up and her monkey pants slid down to her ankles to reveal her HOT PINK undies. In the front of the church. How's that for modesty????
Mental note to mom: Safety pins on ALL Gianna's outfits from now on.
Each room has a different craft or activity for the kids to do. They get to collect candy after each craft or activity. How fun!
Here is Gianna waiting to start the cake walk. She saw the table of goodies. She had her game face on... She was ready to win, and SHE DID!!! Okay, so her mommy picked the winning chair, but I didn't rig it- I promise!
Miss Stephanie ( who ROCKS by the way!) Was Helping Gianna decide which of the yummy home baked goodies to chose from.
Gianna, who is apparently NOT the food connoisseur, chose a yucky, orange, store bought cupcake. Over home made cakes, brownies, cookies, and the like.
One lone orange STORE BOUGHT cupcake.
We will work on that for next year!
Aria didn't mind that she lost at the cake walk as soon as she discovered the "Waffle Room" She ate a HUGE plate of waffles meant for our entire family to share. She was in waffle heaven!
The Cl@xton monkeys even won first place for "best animal" costumes, and a gift certificate for ice cream. Hopefully Gianna won't pick orange ice cream too :)
Time to take our beautiful lil monkeys home for bed...
I definitely didn't know you meant the girls were literally being monkeys. I thought you meant they were just being crazy. haha!
