Somebody get me a BOW!
The sweet family that was JUST in China LAST WEEK, took these pictures of our girls.
What a gift.
Not that this momma is MAD or anything, but
SOMEBODY
shaved my baby Celia's little head.
Can someone at least give her a bow?
I mean really.
How precious that she got snuggles and whispers of her Mommy and Daddy's love?
We are coming baby girl.
Not fast enough, but as soon as we possibly can.
Isn't she just precious?
And tiny.
I mean I could just eat her up.
Bald little head and all!
(After I fatten her up of course. )
Now please, for the love of God and all things girly....
...STOP SHAVING HER HEAD!!!
(I hope they heard me)
And now for Sofia.
Songs, snuggles and snacks are her treat for the day.
Sweet, shy Sofia.
Happily, one of my babies still has hair.
Oh, I can't WAIT to make that girl smile.
To hear her giggle.
To watch her belly laugh for the first time.
As every waiting mom could pray in unison with me tonight,
"Lord, please cut through the legal red tape. Hurry our approvals, if it is possible. Get me on the soonest airplane to my darling babies.
And until that day...
Keep them Lord.
Keep them safe.
Keep them at peace.
Let them feel loved.
Somehow Lord, give them HOPE.
HOPE that there will soon be a day when their bellies will be filled, their cheeks will be kissed, each cry is heard, each tear is wiped, where their cribs will be soft and warm, and most importantly, that they will know what we feel right now by just seeing their pictures..
..........OVERWHELMING LOVE."
Oh Cristy! Your girls are simply precious beyond words! Your post made me all teary-eyed. And I'm so sorry about the shaved head. Grrrrr. I prayed so hard about my Lucy's hair when we were waiting! God is in the details, as you know. I'll join you in praying that they let it start growing out now. :)
ReplyDeleteLet me know if you know if you received any volunteer info that we talked about. ;)
I love it! I can't wait until they're HOME! :)
ReplyDeleteWith hair or without, they are still the most beautiful twins I have ever seen. I know, I'll make them matching hats to wear until their hair "matches". We love them so much already. HE is so good to graciously give us two more precious girls to love. g'ma
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious gift you have of new pictures. Oh how hard the WAIT is. They will be home safe and sounds in bows and dresses before too long!!
ReplyDeleteYou know I am praying this with you :)
ReplyDeleteaw, they are ADORABLE!!! I can't wait to see pictures of them with you and their whole loving family!! Praying for expedited EVERYTHING!!
ReplyDeleteThe orphanage cut Kate's hair very short while we were there...I was so happy it was growing and had no idea they planned to cut it. It was quite a surprise when we showed up that day to see it so short....and of course, I had to smile and nod my head like I liked it...Scott said I did a good job especially since he knew I was screaming on the inside. Luckily Kate's hair grows very fast :o) Hey, this coming week is hectic with Russ' graduation and Kami's recital....can we have "coffee" the week after?
ReplyDeleteI hope you can bring them home soon. My daughter's head had been shaved as well and to this day I love the feeling of shaved heads because it reminds me of holding her for the first time.
ReplyDeleteWaiting with you.
ReplyDeletePraying that same prayer with you.
Hugs.
beautifully said!...they are so precious!! They don't even realize all the love that's in store...they are blessed!
