Big Girls.
Sniff.
First, Gianna had the AUDACITY of turning five.
Then there was the first wardrobeargument disagreement with Aria.
(Apparently jean capris are NOT her favorite. And not cute.)
And now this...
Today, the twinny twin twins just had their very last bottles.
Excuse me while I cry my eyes out.
Sofia has always been able to take or leave her bottle.
But Celia?
She has a LOVE AFFAIR with her bottle.
And the cutest thing is, she sounds like an entire pack of baby piglets slurping and snorting down each and every drop.
It doesn't matter where you are in the house, you KNOW when Celia is drinking a bottle.
I am not even kidding.
And it's A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E.
And she knows if you have cheated her a drop or two. She will croak, "Mmmm, Bottle?"
And continue to slurp and snort the last few drops down.
Don't even try to cheat her on her bottle- she will catch you every time.
We decided that since both are sippy cup proficient, and most importantly, they don't need it for snuggles and bonding, that today would be the last pigfest.
And Daddy, who normally doesn't want to share his little slurpy piglet, graciously gave her to me to feed her the VERY. LAST. BOTTLE.
Sniff, sob.
True to form, she suckled, slurped and snorted with gusto.
And I soaked up each and every little piggy sound and committed each one to memory.
And cried.

I'm gonna miss that little passel of piglets that has started our mornings every day.

Just checking in after quite a while of not reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteThe girls are so cute!!!!
I would just keep giving your little bottle monkey her bottle, since she loves it so much. She has plenty of time yet to be a big girl :-))
What a great bonding tool. My 7 year old still loves her occasional bottle. Even after being home for over 3 years.
Thanks for sharing your life with the bloggy world!
