True to form...

With four little ones, someone is bound to get sick.
On a holiday weekend.
Surprise! It happened!!

So we have made a little pledge to save the festivities when such a conundrum occurs and celebrate another day.
What I'm trying to say is..... we moved Easter this year.
Shocking, I know.
Fevers, sore throats, coughs and parents children whining don't bode well for Easter egg decorating, hunting for sugary treats, and the like.

So it will be our four girls who will be dressed to the nines in their adorable Easter attire and everyone else will be wondering why............ NEXT SUNDAY.
Which is also when the egg hunt and decorating will be done.
Easter dinner? Yep, it will be next week as well.
Now ya'll are "in the know" about these things.
We did however decide that it was cruel and unusual punishment to not dole out the Easter baskets, since we have been talking for over a week about the meaning of Easter and why we celebrate, and how Easter baskets have absolutely no other purpose but to provide more stuff that we don't need. (Okay, we didn't really say that last part.)
Celia doesn't care, she loves the loot!

Mommy gets an Easter basket too. A few years ago, I got an I-phone. Needless to say, I was a big proponent of opening our baskets today. Ha!
SCORE!! My basket was full of $$$ MOOLA $$$ Little notes attached saying, "Pedicure, New outfit, cute shoes, etc" adorned each bill. Way to go Easter Hubby!!!!
Sofia kinda likes these new traditions. She woke up and got a bucket of toys and she's not even sure why.
Notice my pale one? She may or may not be sick.
Thanks to her Grandma Maggie, she also got candy. Her Mommy is one of those scrooge types that thinks baskets aren't for candy.
Wait, isn't scrooge for Christmas time?
Well, whatever the Easter scrooge is, that's me.
I throw out more uneaten candy for each holiday even with the little sugar rule.
Anyhoo....
The girls didn't seem to mind that we weren't officially celebrating this week.
Which is great considering they are getting too old to relocate holidays without their notice.
And then, because we weren't technically celebrating Easter this weekend, we decided to catch up on the Thanksgiving Day festivities we *might* have forgotten due to jet-lag, and the girls made lovely Indian headdresses for the whole family.
Not. even. kidding.

Happy Thanksgiving, ahem, I mean Easter Ya'll!
