The bed dilemma.
Yesterday, we decided to get the big girls bunkbeds. This is a particularly difficult decision because we don't want Gianna to decide to climb to the top and swing like a monkey off. Not that she has, but this is Gianna..... she might.
We thought of two twin beds, but Aria's room just doesn't have enough space for two beds and a dresser. The closet can fit the dresser, but not the dresser AND two little girls worth of dresses ;)
(I think we need a bigger house)
Anyway, we decided on these bunkbeds, that can convert to two twin beds, in the event that Gianna loses her fear of the top bunk.
The girls picked out these comforters, as Aria is my pink girl and Gianna is my purple girl. I wanted something not too cutesy, as Aria will be 6, and I didn't want her to hate it in 2 years. Simple, elegant, and timeless. I love it!
Now the dilemma. We don't want to make any major changes for the twins for at least a year after they come home. Gianna has this adorable pumpkin carriage bed. BUT, we can't fit two in her room, AND we don't know if they should/could sleep together. So we originally thought we'd have this for Sofia, and a crib for Celia, but they will be at least two when we get them, and in light of making no major changes, we don't think she will stay in a crib until she is 3 1/2 or longer.
So now, we are thinking of buying not one but TWO bunkbed sets, and having the twin's beds set up as twin beds (I like writing TWINS, dontcha think) and then mmmmuuuucccchhhhh laaaatttttteeerrrrr they can have bunkbeds like the big girls.
But what to do with this ADORABLE carriage bed??? I can't part with it, so I thought I could save it for grandkids (hint, hint) or if Aria and Gianna decide not to share a room, we have it, or... I don' t know!!!
So should the twins be in cribs for a year, share the pumpkin carriage, or have their own twin beds??
I have no idea... Thoughts?? Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated!
