Dis and Dat

- Saturday we hiked up a mountain... during another feed. It was super-fun, the fall foliage was gorgeous, and we got some fun time with the marrieds who helped with the biggies and the babies.
LOVE. THAT.

- Oh, and speaking of feeds, it's all we plan our lives around these days, so you'll hear it a lot.
(You've been forewarned.)

- We also went to Cost-co. ON A SATURDAY. It's against everything I believe in, but it was close to the mountain we hiked, so we decided to throw caution to the wind. On the way home, Celia had her first car-feed. Let's just say that it took both Greg and I several minutes to get her out, the backpack with the pump out while still attached to her, and the tubes untangled, and it wasn't pretty.

- Our oldest son thoughtfully ordered dinner and arranged for his brother to deliver it to us on Friday. Thai and sushi.... YUM! And he knows that although I love sushi, it has to be COOKED. And not in the same container as RAW stuff, even if it's not touching. Yes, I have food issues, why do you ask?
All that to say,  I love my boys!!

- Speaking of dinners, thanks to my mom and my sister and my bestie in VA (You can call her Dr. Diane because she HATES that- HA!) we have had all meals covered since coming home from the hospital. Gotta love that, especially because we are too exhausted to even think about food.

- Celia has said "Bite" and "More" about 3 times since she got off oral feeds. We have let her taste a miniscule amount of something meltable to give her the feeling of eating. She squeals with delight, so our little ruse is working.

- My camera broke. Sniff.... sob....snort. It just gave up the ghost. Greg is gonna try to take it apart and see if he can fix it, so keep your fingers crossed. Until then, you get my rants and drivels.
(Warned again)

- Aria is growing like a weed and needs new.... everything. I brought a pair of brand new pants to class for her to change into after ballet, we put them on and they were high-waters. A few folds later and they became "capris" for the day. We need to shop for her, but everything out there for 7 year old girls is T-R-A-S-H-Y. My girls dress to look like little girls, not tramps thankyouverymuch. So the hunt continues, in my free time of course. HA!

- Our Pastor's sermon on Sunday was FOR US. It was so encouraging and helpful. Don'tcha just love it when God reinforces over and over that He loves you and has it all in His control?!?

- The girls have taken up collecting ladybugs. We have "Spotty", "Lady", "Buggy" and a few various other ones. They have them in a dollhouse baby carriage, and none of them move, if you know what I mean...Wink, Wink.
I foresee Daddy sneaking in to replace the... ahhhh.... sleeping bugs with more, ummmm.... how do you say.... uhhhh.... perky ones each night.

- We are super-excited for this weekend when our son and his girlfriend will be coming home for a week. All ten of us in the same town is pure Momma bliss. We have a few fun outings planned too, which is why we are daring, and crazy with trying to do all these feeds in various places beforehand.

- We are just beyond exhausted.
I've decided dark circles and gray hair are my new fashion statement.
I think it works well.
(Please don't tell me otherwise.)

- Sofia narrowly avoided hysterics tonight before bed because.... gasp...
THERE WAS A CHIP IN HER NAIL POLISH ON ONE FINGER!!!
She is Divalicious in every way, and we find it very. adorable.
She is three after all.
I'm sure in 12 years it will cease to be cute however, so we are gently trying to talk her off the edge of calamity with each chip to her polish.
So far, so good.
And let me just say,she has really grown so much over the last year. From 5-10 RAGES per day, to getting a little pouty when something doesn't go her way- we couldn't be prouder of her for learning to regulate her emotions.
So for now, Diva on girl!

- My lil' sis and her hubby sent a care package to the girls, and although the photo is terrible, Celia LOVED the super-soft extra snuggly blanket she sent. I seriously have never seen a more snuggly blanket IN. MY. LIFE.
We all have blanket envy.
Is she not edible?!?

- Oh, and where actually is "Calgon", and why hasn't it taken me away yet???

Night all.

  4. Sushi? You have to be kidding! You don't even eat "gibbers" in your gravy. Regarding girls clothing after size 7 - Granma's coming with sewing machine, just 29 days and a wake-up, not that I'm counting or anything. Love ya'll, can't wait for Christmas, first one home since 2008!!!!!

  5. What size does Aria need right now? I love to shop and sew and I get offered lovely hand-me-downs all the time. The only problem is that my daughter will be a teen before she ever fits them, even though they are size 7 or 8! I, too, like little girls to look like little girls, and am appalled by the clothing selections in many popular stores. I have some favorite name brands that maintain innocent cuteness, but have to buy them used, which is no problem with my friend's store right down the street.
