Celebrating the birth of our Saviour.
Christmas Day was extra special this year, having ALL SIX of our children waking up to Daddy and Mommy singing, "We wish you a Merry Christmas"
Believe me when I tell you the boys REALLY enjoyed that.
(Or not.)
We decided last year that to minimize the "It's all about MMMEEEEE!!!!" attitude that accompanies the massive amounts of presents and we would institute the following gift giving for the girls:
Something you want, something you need, something to wear, and something to read.
The twins got to open their "something to wear" on Christmas Eve.
Actually, all six of them got PJ's.
Four sweet little cherubs are ready for bed. Thank you Papa for our new bears to sleep with!
"Good Morning, sweet Celia. Merry First Christmas my little angel."
More often than not, I have ALL FOUR of my girls on me at the same time. I LOVE IT!
And I feel smothered all at the same time.
Keeping it real, folks... Keeping it real.
The twins are watching the Christmas Chaos and not sure why we are surrounded by wrapping paper shredded all over the floor.
Gianna's "something she wanted"..... Tinkerbell outfit with all the sparkly trimmings.
I will be vacuuming up fairy dust for the next month.
Celia thinks she has the un-wrapping part down.
We kept it REALLY simple for the twins and only bought them two things this year.
We didn't want to overwhelm them, and quite honestly, they have gotten lots of new toys/clothes/stuff in the few weeks they have been home.
My two bookworms.
One has always been a bookworm.
The other has found a newly acquired enjoyment of reading.

Haha.. I thought this was a funny pose with the twins almost making the same silly face at the same time.
Ryan and his new Pj's
Bogey was BAD this year.
Santa didn't bring him one thing.
Sniff.
And the Lord had a present for Greg and I. As I have mentioned before, we LOVE snow. It is the one thing that we really miss about VA. Actually, come to think of it, besides Justin and a few friends, it is the ONLY thing we miss about VA.
As the day progressed, we got more and more snow. I think we had close to 4 inches and it hasn't snowed on Christmas Day in over 100 years here, so it was a BIG blessing!!
We are so thankful to be able to have our babies home for Christmas!!
We got some snow too - but it only stuck to the grass - my favorite kind of snow!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad everyone had a Merry Christmas. Wishing ALL of you the very best New Year ever, and with all those beautiful girls, how could it miss.
