2011 in Review
January: SEVEN INCHES OF SNOW IN GEORGIA!!
Ahhh, yes, we celebrated Chinese New Year with all four of our beauties!
February: Hmmmm, let's see.... I got OLD, My handsome man and I celebrated 25 years of wedded bliss, Aria learned to ride a bike without training wheels, and Ryan decided to turn 23.
Yes, we wear short sleeves in February here in Georgia.
Be jealous.
March: Gianna turned five, Chelsea had a birthday, Celia had eye surgery in both eyes, I had unexpected surgery and Daddy took care of, well.... everything. Not my favorite month, well except for the birthdays.
Let's skip to April, shall we?
April: Grandma Maggie came for a whole week, My son got engaged, my best friend's mom passed away, and Gianna's had yet another surgery. A month of highs and lows, that is for sure.
May: We got our first big clue that Celia's medical condition was something other than CP, the twins had their first Easter, I went away for a whole weekend by myself(HOLLA!), and the twins are home for 6 months of forever.
June: Aria turned seven, Celia had muscle biopsy surgery, we celebrated Father's Day for the best Daddy in the universe, My sissy came for a visit and Celia had MRSA, got a new wheelchair and won the award for the craziest hair after an EEG. Oh and wedding planning was in full swing.
July: Our family together for the 4th, guys golf weekends, and lots of HOT days. Oh, and wedding showers galore!
August: Justin's birthday (his first away from home... sniff) and THE. WEDDING.
I can't remember anything else. HA!
September: The beach, the twins first birthday at home, Gianna had another surgery and.... the diagnosis that changed everything.
October: Swallow study, sleep study, more tests for Celia, enjoying fall to the fullest, and who could forget the gift of an IPAD?
November: G-tube surgery for Celia, twins one year home-aversary, and learning a new normal that felt anything BUT normal.
December: Lots of Dr visits, everyone including Mommy sick while Daddy is out of town, Celia hospitalized for RSV, learning to "do hard", and having everything you had every hoped for or dreamed of in all of the blessings God has given.
By God's grace, bring on 2012.... we can take it.

Happy New Year! May 2012 bring you peace, perseverance, and many blessings! You have such a beautiful, strong family.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sense of home and family! Praying God will get you all through each moment of each day with peace, comfort, wisdom and strength. Still praying for that miracle for Celia - to God's glory!
