Gung Hay Fat Choy!!
Well, here at Casa del Cl@xton, we like to do things a little later than most. For that reason, and that reason alone, we celebrated Chinese New Year today. I'm pretty proud of the fact that we are only 3 days late. We have been know to move Easter weekend to suit our needs. And Thanksgiving, but so far we have let Christmas stay on the 25th of December.
We are STILL SICK. I went to Urgent Care last night and have: Sinus Infection, laryngitis, fluid on my ears, and strep. The Dr. asked me why I waited so long to come in- HA!
Well.....I have four sick kids, my husband was out of town the whole week, and it was all I could do to get my children to the Dr. thankyouverymuch!
Gianna was the healthiest of the brood. "Was" being the key word. She is now running 101 fever and can't stop coughing. Celia is really junky sounding and will probably need her lungs checked tomorrow at the Pediatrician.
We have not been this sick in a LONG time.
Anyhoo... back to CNY:

Aria helped Mommy decorate this year. She was really excited about the lucky coins.
Especially when she found out they were made of chocolate.
It was her idea to fold the napkins into fans and put them in the glasses.
She has an attention for detail that I do not.
We even dug out our chinese dishes for the occasion. That, AND we dialed the local Chinese restaurant for food. We're pretty high falootin' around here.
I bought the girls a Great Wall of China box type thingy. They have had lots of fun coloring it.
My four beautiful Chinese princesses!
The big girls wanted chopsticks in their hair. Is it me, or are they looking very grown up?
"I'm not feeling well Mommy, why are you making me dress up and take pictures?"
Happy Year of the Rabbit!
May your year be tame, may your days be soft and fluffy and may you not sneeze on rabbit hair.
Happy Year of the Rabbit to you all!! Love you guys! Great pictures...
ReplyDeleteI'm all for a tame year - where do I place my order? Ordering out for Chinese was the smartest move of the day. I love seeing my girls dressed in their finest Chinese outfits and the chopsticks in the hair is the GREATEST! But Mom you are right - it does make them look very grown up. UGH! I'm nowhere close to being ready for that.
