Fun times FOUR!
Well, hopefully my 2011 beginnings are not indicative of the year.
I wasn't feeling well on New Year's Eve so Greg suggested I nap to see if I felt better.
I started running a fever, and almost couldn't lift my head off the pillow.
My throat felt like I was swallowing glass, terrible headache- the works.
Ugh.
We cancelled our plans to have friends over, and I dug out an antibiotic that we took to China, because I was pretty sure I had strep. Or the flu.
I figured in 24 hours I would know if the antibiotic was working or not.
Scientific, I know.
Spent New Years snoozing away.
Last night, I started to feel a little bit better, so I decided to wash the sheets.
(I HATE sleeping on "sick" sheets)
Somehow, I pulled my back out while pulling the sheets out of the dryer.
Literally locked up on me and I was frozen bent over in the laundry room.
You can stop laughing now.
So now, I am laying on a heating pad, and feeling rather old.
Anyhoo..... on to the real post.....
One thing I am very thankful for is how well all the girls play together.
I honestly was concerned that it would be the
Biggies VS the Babies.
Thankfully it's not so.
Yes, one child is dressed and the other is in PJ's.
don't judge.
It's the holidays, we tend to be a little more relaxed about attire.
Heck, who am I kidding?
We are a PJ lovin' homeschooling family.
And like it. HA!
No one ever leaves our Celia out of the fun. If she is having floor time, they join her on the floor.
If she's in the walker, they girl her toys to play with.
She can't walk, talk or hold her head up for more than a minute or two, but
the girls never seem to notice her limitations.
They include her in everything they are playing, and even encourage her to hold her head up.
Those sweet girls BLESS me to the core for loving Celia just the way she is.
My sister gave the twins a Sofie Giraffe and they LOVE her. She makes random, cameo appearances, so be sure to look for the giraffe in the photos. It's kinda like "Where's Waldo" for babies.
Except it's not.
And only my little sister will love the "Adventures of Sofie the Giraffe."
Ahem.
Moving right along....
"Anyone looking for the keys to my ride?"
Smile for the camera!
"Sheesh! Is Mommy ever going to stop taking all those pictures?"
Sorry girls....Never gonna happen.
So sorry you got sick and then hurt your back. I hope all is well soon. We're comforting the 15yo long distance as he is in New Orleans with the band sick with the stomach flu. And all he wants to do is come home. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to wish you and your beautiful family a very Happy New Year!!!! We really enjoy your spirit and your blog...Thanks for keeping it up!

Normally we side with the kids, but, in this case, we side with the parents: keep snapping those photos, Guys. We love'em! What delightful, loving family moments - never a dull moment. (We'll take the Claxton Clan over The Brady Bunch any old time!).
ReplyDeleteHey! I have strep, too! And I got it on New Years Eve! Wow, what a coincidence! :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to feel better. I'm getting a new antibiotic today (I DID go to the doctor!)
We should have a play date before I have to go back to work in March.
Cute!! And I hope you are feeling better!!
