My Man's Another year older.
To the man who wakes up every single day and brings me coffee in bed, the honor was mine to bring YOU (bad) coffee and breakfast in bed with four giggly girls.
Aria and Gianna made him a birthday banner.
(more on that later..)
Gianna, knowing her Dad shares her love of all things avocado, made her daddy a guacamole puzzle.
How sweet.
In a foodie sort of way.
The girls also got their sweet Daddy a sweet jar for his desk filled to the brim with gummy bears.
Sweets for the sweet.
He was joined in his birthday breakfast-in-bed by this cute little pirate.
And a toast-eating potty-trainer.
And a guacamole making puzzle girl.
And the banner making princess.
And bad coffee.
Sorry Babe, I try, I really, really do.
And like all Dads, he spent his birthday helping me shuttle the girls to their first day back to school.
And then came home to his favorite dinner, and espresso chocolate cheesecake.
A typical day, for an extraordinary man.
Who loves his wife (and spoils her rotten), who loves his kids and who is dedicated to be a wonderful, Godly leader of our home, and an amazing provider.
And does all those things well.
In closing, I'd like to highlight the corner of the birthday banner Aria made.
We've laughed, we've joked and we've surmised as to the hidden meaning:
Whee! You're a fun Daddy that always plays with us!
OR
Whee! You're in for the ride of your life with all of us girls!
OR
Whee! You're in the downhill slide of life and passed the half way point.
Maybe all of the above?!?
Whee! I love it! Happy Bday - a bit late- and best wishes for a wonderful year ahead!
ReplyDeleteAnd hmmm...someone else has a special day approaching soon...
My sweet wife made the day SO wonderful. There is nothing better than spending the day with the love of my life and our wonderful children. (Although one of them was noticeably missing!) I am VERY spoiled!!
ReplyDeleteI love growing older with you - especially since you get older next month and get to slide down the hill with me! WHEE!!!
What a wonderful birthday, and from all the evidence we see it was a happy one. How can one man be so blessed? It's simple: Those who are a blessing to others will in turn receive blessings beyond measure in return. Congrats, Dad, and good job, Girls, for you were indeed a channel of blessing for him. Wheeeee!
