Fresh Air

We bundled up Gianna, padded her with pillows and attempted to take a short walk outside. It was a great mood-lifter for all of us!
We also survived the first bath. I did have to call her nurse to get step by step instructions on how to carefully bathe her, which I am SURE they are still laughing about the neurotic mom who can't bathe her FOURTH child without help, but it did make me feel better...

While talking to her, she told me that Gianna's progress and her release just 4 days post-op was miraculous. She is behaving more like a child 10 days after surgery, and blessing we attribute to the prayers lifted up by so many and our Heavenly Father answering and healing her little body.

Today she walked without crying, and rolled over by herself, so that is more tremendous progress. She is still very fragile, and we have many restrictions but we are so thankful for each new day and the progress it brings.

We go for her final check up tomorrow morning and then the girls and I fly home early Thursday morning-just one week after major surgery- WOW. Greg will stay behind, as in a fun twist, the company he flew to Boston to interview with, wanted another face to face, and agreed to fly to Philly. His interview is Friday and then he will drive the long 13 hours home. Glad we have absolutely NOTHING else going on right now :)

  7. Miraculous, indeed! She doesn't even look as if she is in any pain or uncomfortable in any way. Thank God for the miracle He has wrought........"for His mercy is everlasting." Hope to see you in Georgia before too long! In the meantime, we'll be praying (for Gianna and Greg!)
Good job, Gianna. You were bold and courageous. You (with God's help and Aria's watchcare)showed them all what a real champ you are. We love you!
