Thankful Thursday

One week from today, my baby girl will have life-saving surgery. My emotions have been all over the map, but mostly I have been overwhelmed with the awesome love of my Heavenly Father expressed in so many ways...

~For granting us with a special treasure named Gianna. She is my little hero. She endures every hardship valiantly and always has a bright smile waiting. She never complains, and I know she is constantly in pain. The lessons I have learned from my baby girl are immeasurable. We cannot imagine our life without her!

~For giving me a church family that has truly rallied around us. We were blessed with gifts, a special handmade book for Gianna for each day she is in the hospital, and with a whole bag of cards for us to open to encourage us while we are gone. I am humbled by the outpouring of love.

~For my family. My mom, who is struggling with some pretty serious health issues, is coming to help with Aria, and is willing to do whatever I need, even coming back to GA with us if I need her to. My sister and my dad are here in GA and BEG for things to do to help, even though they both have major things going on right now. Greg's family who is always praying, always rallying others to pray, and knowing my sister in law will be there for every medical concern regardless of the time of  day or night.

~For dear, sweet friends. We have been SO BLESSED by special gifts for us, a care package with goodies to de-stress mommy, and for those who are just waiting for me to call- ready to jump if I need them to. It brings me to tears on a daily basis for the blessing of such genuine friendship. I pray I am half the friend to them that they have been to us.

~For my sons. They are our best friends. We can count on them to do any and everything we need them to. The love they have for their sisters is a beautiful thing to witness each and every day. They have willingly walked the road the Lord has for us, and encouraged us each step of the way. I couldn't love them more.

~For my husband. No matter what we have to go through, he is my rock and despite the tremendous stress he is under, he always takes time to make each of us feel loved. His pursuit of God blesses me and encourages my own walk.

~ For my sweet, loving daughter Aria. Who can't fully understand all that is going on, but willingly helps me to prepare. She is such a blessing and I know the Lord will bless her special time with Grandmommy.

~And above all, for the love of my Saviour. Why He blessed me with such treasures in my life will forever remain a mystery to me. He bought me with a price, He loves me unconditionally, His forgiveness abounds, and His mercies are new each and every day.

  6. We can't wait to hear the good news on what God is going to do through this surgery. Know that many prayers around the world are being lifted up for you as you go through this dificult time. Your faith is strong, and it shows. We are confident the Master Physician is now going to show Himself mighty and strong on Gianna's behalf. We love you and, along with many other prayer warriors, will keep the prayer vigil active continuosly.
