Keeping it real.
~ Jet lag stinks.
~Especially when you have 4 little ones to get re-adjusted.
~Missing 31 hours of sleep, and trying to get on a schedule with 4 little ones who don't sleep past 3 AM makes for a crabby mom and dad.
~Coffee eventually eats your stomach.
~Trust me, I know.
~ The twins are adorably exhausting.
~Twins throw double the temper fits. You pray that it happens one at a time, but with their exhaustion, it usually doesn't.
~Wrangling two kicking and screaming toddlers while trying to reassure them, is a task I have yet to master.
~Sofia HATES the dog. And hate may be too tame a word.
~Celia HATES to be put down.
~So does Sofia for that matter.
~Laundry doesn't fold itself.
~It should.
~I'm thankful for our dear friends who have prayed for us, encouraged us, and are feeding us dinners.
~ I am thankful for my sister who made us yummy treats to feed our visiting guests.
~I forget to eat at least one meal a day. Sometimes two.
~There is nobody at Walmart at 4:30 AM.
~ Well, except for this crazy, wild eyed couple and their 4 chatty children who bought the entire baby food aisle.
~ We may end up on peopleofwalmart.com Look for us.
~ There is NO PLACE like home.
~ We are incredibly blessed.

ReplyDeletePraying everything settles down soon! I just read back on the last month (still didn't have you on my blog reader for some crazy reason??) and just got chills reading everything. I am praying for all the things you listed above and am hoping to hear that everyone is adjusting soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I have been following your journey through out your process and trip and just wanted to say welcome home and many blessings!!! All four of your girls are darling and precious!!!! Congratulations!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis, too, shall pass (that is, the weariness and adjustment period), but the blessings shall ever end. Wish we were there to help. In the meantime, we will be praying, counting the blessings (and laughing!). Welcome home! We love you.
